We are , more often than we realize , frozen by fear.
Fear of success
Fear of failure
Fear of the unknown
It prevents us from taking the necessary steps in our lives, crushing our potential. Keeping us from ever achieving the results we so desperately desire. Fear is the reason many will never attempt P90x or Insanity. Conjuring up an image of you passed out on the floor unable to move.
“Fear is not real. It is a product of thoughts you create”
In essence ,being frozen by fear is a choice. A choice you make when you give up. Don’t do that, Don’t give up on your dreams. Make a choice and take the steps toward what you want. That can be anything and everything from starting a business to losing 30 lbs. There are so many things we want in life but we allow fear to keep them just out of reach. Take cosplay for example. many people never even give it a shot because they don’t have ripped abs or a superhero body type…
You want to cosplay a superhero? Then do it!
LEFT: Unknown – RIGHT: Living Ichigo
Do it because you love the character, not to impress others. who cares if you don’t fit the “body type”. There will always be critics and haters, but when it is all said and done. Those people and their opinions of you have no bearing or effect on your future. I am on a quest to get superhero ripped, NOT because of what others will think of me, but for the personal fulfillment. I want to look and feel like a superhero. I want to know when i put on the costume that i am doing both the character and myself justice. That doesn’t mean waiting till the journey is over to dawn a mask or cape. Instead in means working everyday toward my goal. striving not for perfection but improvement.
Along the way I help others on their quest, because i know how petrifying that fear can be. You know you can’t go through life frozen by fear. That you have to make a different choice. one that can alter your course and put you on a collision course with destiny. A year from now I will be stronger … faster… better… than I am to day. I will stand proudly knowing what I have achieved and who I have become. The question is will you?
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.’ We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?- Marianne Williamson
